This article gave me a lot to think about. I’ve shared it with all my friends who are in project management and leadership roles. It’s clarified some of my thinking on a few topics over the years, like:

  • why is it so frustrating to work with artisan/watchmaker types?
  • why are inconsistent people so annoying? (I’ve often said, “I’d rather have a 60% effort 100% of the time than bounce back and forth between 40% and 120% depending on your mood.”)
  • and of course, the eternal question, why aren’t I more appreciated?

Just read it. I’ll post my thoughts once I’ve cogitated further.
